A negative turns into a positive

Do you all observe your ‘White Rabbits’ omen of good luck on each first of the month? (after the stroke of midnight of course). A tradition on the first day of each month, to wash away the old month and herald in the new dawning.

It allegedly originated from a children's saying recorded as early as 1909, and was later adopted by RAF aircrews in World War II as a protective talisman. A bit sad, as all of the rabbits didn't survive.

Nevertheless, this superstition is believed to bring good luck for the month, ward off negative energy, and is sometimes used in response to the "pinch and punch for the first of the month" greeting to prevent retaliation. While the exact origin is really quite unclear, rabbits themselves are associated with fertility, renewal, and good fortune, which may explain their inclusion in the charm.

In Torp's case, as he is a practicing guru of having little energy at all, it is apposite in this little aside from his duties with the Wytvern Boys. Why ‘Torp?’ Well, Torpor is his default condition, and just now and again (more now in this skit), it proves to be a boon rather than a bane. Although Torp is mainly a bane on Tank's life, on this occasion, it becomes a strength. Negative to positive?
