Mookin Abart - or is it a case of 'smoke and mirrors?'

𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 ‘𝐒𝐦𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐬? (𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫)

And so, we meet the newest recruit. His name? ‘Mookin Abart’ (tis his name, not a behavioural affectation/condition), and he has recently arrived from a faraway place. But for the Wytvern Boys, anywhere further away than the M1 South is too far to even begin to contemplate. Two miles darn’ road, and the accents become strange and exotic, and so? Mookin could just as well be from…………………choose your own faraway place.

Mookin is a people person. A mixer and always wants to please. However, he does have one fatal flaw, although he is not yet aware of what it is; there could be trouble ahead. If we introduce narcissism into the mix, do not confuse this with an exotic flower from Greece, although there are similarities between Mookin and a Greek god.

Much of this can be considered as ‘smoke and mirrors!’ Although with the overuse (by me ) of hyperbole, it might be pertinent to say that some folk are much too easily dazzled by their own reflection.

Is this straying too far from the storyline? Well, not really. But today is another day, and we will see………….
