From deepest 'Wytvern Land' to the calming air of Transylmania' or something for Klaus to get his teeth into'
𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀
As Klaus and his 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗘𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗵𝗼̈𝗿𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗸, (Heavy-Load Squirrel Logistics), truck hove into view, two Transylmanian, (Transylvanian if you must Border Guards became more animated than a Walt Disney movie!
This is the first crossing they have experienced in over a week, and they are determined to make the most of the moment. Enjoyment, not being an emotion that comes naturally to them, they bring a gravity to the event that shakes Klaus to his not unsubstantial bootstraps.
They swarm (imagine two swarming guards, although two more come out from their billet, to join in ‘the fun’), over the truck, and voilà! The tracker (unknown to Klaus at this point) is found.
Out comes an official, brandishing a form declaring that ‘all foreign objects are forbidden from being imported,’ and that Klaus is now under close arrest.
Close enough for one of the guards to be able to discern that Klaus is exuding a very fragrant aroma!
Further searching of the truck reveals……..a rare £215.00 bottle of Turkish Halfeti Eau de Parfum!! The discovering senior guard is beside himself with glee (probably resulting from the heady aromatic scent being forced out from this bottle of this powerful fragrance). "Ah ha!" He ‘ha, ha’d. “This eez wery interesting, com wiz me!”
There is a bit of concern over the Turkish scent, as it is quickly revealed that this is a scent for a lady.......................but we are in modern times, and smelling nice has no gender specific requirements, plus? Klaus is a big guy, so we will let it pass.
Klaus followed the scent into the guard's office.
A discussion follows, where the wily Border Guard suggests a short period of imprisonment for Klaus. On the other hand, (either hand, really), 𝗜𝗙, the scent is released for the guard's own personal use? The story could go either way here, but there is more than a whiff of intrigue in the air, as Klaus (feeling a little tetchy), exposes his darker side.
Here is the rub – when we say that the story can go either way, it is important not to forget Tank and the Wytvern Boys, as to bring real drama to this sorry state of affairs, something dramatic has to take place! Can we find anything more dramatic than this twist in the tail? It is another moment for a period of incredulous suspension in the storyline, so?
